The gritters are here!

This is a comedy post to any of my Finnish readers. Or to any other nationals who live in an area that gets a lot of snow in the winter. As you know from my earlier posts, it started snowing in the early ours of Wednesday here. Three days later, we have gritting on our street and we can possibly start using our car again!

Here's what gritting looks like, England style:






Isn't it fantastic?! They are doing it by hand! :D

I'm not making fun of them, I just find it hilarious. Being a Finn.

It's snowing again!

Very unusual to snow this much in England. It's not great in the sense that we can't drive anywhere when it snows because we live on a hill now and English towns can't cope with snow well; it takes days for the gritters to reach this area (about half a mile from the very centre of the town!) and by then the snow has melted anyway.

BUT it IS great because it looks so pretty! Ha! Here are a few shots I took when we went out with Zebedee this afternoon.















I don't think this taxi will be doing any business today:
(This shot was taken through a foggy lense... Top tip for winter photography: You might think it's a good idea to put your camera under your coat to shield it from the snow in between shooting, but don't - you will risk getting condensation inside your lense.)

SNOW - lots of it!

Brilliant excellent fantastic! It's snowing! It's been snowing since last night.















I'll be posting more photos as soon as I get them out of my memory card.

We were at Birling Gap, and went to see the beach next.
