I took some portrait photos of Jonathan Barrett today. Jonathan is - amongst other things - a woodturner, so I took some photos of him in his workshop.
It was also a rare outing for the Lensbaby.
I like the action in this photo.
You can meet Jonathan and see his beautiful wood art at an Open House in Newhaven at the weekends this May. He is one of the artists exhibiting at this address. I was lucky enough to get noticed by Sue and Jonathan - and Sue asked me to come and exhibit my photos in her Open House.
Anyway, here's a straight-forward shot with a normal lense.
A few HDR'd shots from Jonathan's workshop.

Stunning sunset
We went to the private view of Brighton and Hove camera club in the morning.
I don't have any photos in it this year as I didn't get round to putting any in. I'm going to have about 14 framed photos exhibited in an Open House in Newhaven starting from next weekend, and I'm also probably going to have some up on E-Kagen's wall soon, so I didn't make that much of an effort to make it in time for the camera club submissions.
Snap from Castle Hill in Newhaven.
In the evening we went for a walk in Seaford Head. The Seven Sisters were basking in the evening sun.
On the way back we saw this fabulous sunset over Newhaven, and Brighton in the distance.

Visiting cousins
Miles's cousins came over for a visit this weekend.
But before that, we went for a walk in the woods behind Newhaven cemetery with Z.
Perhaps the weirdest plant I have seen for ages.
I was fascinated by it and took a whole lot of photos of it.
Early evening we met up at Stanmer Park for a little bluebell walk in the woods.
Of course Z had to enter the frame again...
And are my favourite conifers...

Naz Keeran photo shoot
I had a great pleasure of meeting the lovely Naz Keeran and take her photos today. Here are some of my favourites: (these are just unedited, straight-from-the-camera proofs)
Love her smile in this one.
Charming Mr. Zebedee was of course an integral part of the photo shoot.

More bluebells
The bluebells are just lovely. Can't resist.
This year I learned that there are also white - errr.... bluebells.
Quite difficult to get a shot without at least a part of a springer in it...
