We spent today in London. Well, from about 3 pm, since neither of us is a morning person! We arrived at London Bridge station and walked to Tower Bridge. And stopped for a few shots of the City Hall et environs on the way.
Then we got into Tower Bridge. There were a lot of stairs...
Here's a shot looking down from half way up the tower:
Finally we were at the top, and entered the sky walkway.
...were you get the view over the river.
After which, stairs back down again....
...to the engine rooms.
I'm guessing this bucket is vital part of the design and holding all this equipment together.
We took a bus to Covent Garden and went straight to the Lyseum Theatre to ask whether we can get tickets for The Lion King tonight. And we could!
I didn't go for the £75 seats at the stalls, but restricted view £30 tickets. The view wasn't bad from our little box, though.
Photography was not allowed, so here are a couple of sketches I did during the performance...
After the performance there were lots of rickshas waiting for custom outside the theatre!
We walked to Waterloo Bridge to capture some London hustle and bustle.
Buses look a little scary at night!
Back to London Bridge station.

*LAUGHING* Damn, you are an EXCELLENT sketcher! ;)
Oh, I don't want to brag or anything, but I did these in 1/4 second. When I set my mind to it, I can be pretty quick sometimes.
