Another fun photo shoot - with the lovely sisters Chloe and Saskia! I was planning on taking some of the portraits out on the beach, but Mother Nature decided otherwise... a thunder storm made sure that we ended up taking all the pictures indoors in the studio.
I have a serious problem with these two, though: I got so many fun photos of them that I really can't decide which ones to post in this photo blog. So... I'm posting quite a few! Hope you'll enjoy watching them as much as I did taking them. :-)
The girls wanted to give some really nice portraits of themselves to their mother as a birthday gift - fairly normal, standard ones - but we were having so much fun that we started to improvise with a few props.
Some poses work better then others...
And then... almost a serious portrait...
...but you can't keep these two serious for long.
Love you girls - and I'm sure your mother will love her present!

Mobile phone videos
I just realised that I can upload videos in this blog, too! I have only tried a couple of times to take video with my mobile phone, and I'm absolutely crap at it. Nevertheless, I'm so excited about this discovery that I'm going to post one anyway!

Macro lense outing
I haven't taken that many photos with my new macro lense yet, so I thought I'd take it with me on a walk with Zed today.
Teasels are great.
They are definitely one of the most fascinating-looking plants I know. I'd never seen a teasel before I came to England. Well, not before I moved away from London, to be exact.
Random tiny yellow flowers. No idea what they are called.

Noriko
Friend of mine, the lovely Noriko, came over for a photo shoot today.
Noriko is a composer/musician. Very talented young lady.
Violin is not her main instrument, but it fits in my studio more easily than a piano or an organ.
I think I just realised today that the more pictures I take, the more I'm into unconventional compositions. Like this one:
The above would be perfect for a poster, as Noriko pointed out. Plenty of room to list concert details on the right.
Another thing I've noticed I like are the completely un-posed shots - even in the studio.
But, sometimes you get quite nice posed ones, too.
